Result Page: 1 | 2 Q: Can I advance or retard the cam timing on my 4-stroke? A: Only if your cam sprocket(s) have slotted bolt holes Q: When I rev my engine it returns to idle slowly. What should I do. A: The first thing to check is your throttle cables. The current model 4 strokes have 2 cables, so there is a lot of cable drag. Q: How much air pressure should I run in my tires? A: This seems like a not so important question. But its hard to win a race with a flat tire. We recomend 14-16psi and heres why, I have never seen a rider notice the difference between 14 to 12 psi but the chance of getting a flat goes up about 10% for every pound of air you reduce tire pressure under 14psi. Why take the chance? Q: My cylinder is damaged should I resleeve or replate? A: We recommend that you replate. Over time an iron liner will wear resulting in too much piston to wall clearance. A replated cylinder will run much cooler, and retain oil better. It is also cheaper to replate the resleeve. Q: My cam timing has jumped out of time, what happened? A: If you have an automatic cam chain adjuster it can back out when the throttle is closed suddenly at high RPM\'s. This can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage. Result Page: 1 | 2 |
